Beware of the tidy is the website of the artist, Natasha Michaels

Natasha Michaels was born in London. She studied communication design at St Martins College of Art and at the Royal College of Art in London where she specialised in Printmaking. Her work is in the collections of private individuals and museum collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Pallant House and the Chippenham Museum

Over the years, her illustration has been commissioned by the likes of Penguin Books, Vintage, Random House, The Guardian, and Blue Source.

She lives and works in London.

Print process

Natasha uses a print process to make her work. It is produced in an etching studio, using a monoprint technique. Each silhouette is cut from aluminium plate then inked or painted and put through an etching press. The print process is what gives it its unusual texture.
